Emphasize Participation, Maximize Excellence
The Brookwood Girls Developmental Practice is conducted by Trevor Sinodhinos who serves as the Girls Basketball Director and Mini Girls AAA coach. The weekly one hour session focuses on improving four key developmental aspects of novice players(2014-2016): physical development, motor development, mental development and social psychological development.
Players receive a formal introduction to individual and team concepts by performing skill specific drills. Through presentation, application and feedback, players develop their individual talents within a team framework that will be beneficial if they decide to pursue intercity tryouts at age 10 or 11.
The Girls Developmental Practice is an optional addition to the house league program and no extra fee is required. However, space is limited to a maximum of 20 players as it is designed for players who are prepared for the extra time commitment and the challenges set by a higher level of expectations.
